Now, every reason to get Help + Manual

It’s been 25 years and if there is one product that has stormed the Adobe Technical Communication Suite bastion like no other, it is Help + Manual from EC Software. Adobe’s product Robohelp (now revived after an almost brush with death) used to be the Technical Writer‘s most sought after Help Authoring Tool (HAT) but not anymore. Robohelp’s nemesis in the name of Madcap’s Flare took a firm footing when the former almost went into oblivioun. Robohelp’s own founders and makers left to form Madcap when Adobe acquired Robohelp from Macromedia.

Meanwhile Help & Manual from EC Software, stood its stand and today is one of the most sought after Help Authoring Tools, matchless in ease-of-use, power, screen capture and .pdf creation tools and most importantly price. With the latest version 9.00 released last month, powerful Language Translation capabilities have been added via the H + M Transalation Assistant, making the product even more versatile to use.  The Translation Assistant uses the Deep L translation Engine and upto 24 different languages are supported (Deep L offers 29 language tranlations).

Mind you, one still needs additional screen capturing and editing software with Robohelp or Flare but with Help + Manual that will not be necessary as it comes in-built with its robust screen capture and editing tools. Help + Manual’s .pdf templates and .pdf template  creation and tweaking tools are also top notch. The competition hardly even offers such tools.
