About Me

Yeah! that’s me Subash (full name Subash Sarath Lakshmi). That pic was shot by my nephew on his Canon DSLR in 2018 at the Pooram festival in Aratupuzha, Kerala.

I have been working in the IT industry for over three decades of which I spent the first decade as a software developer. My work took me outside India and I spent about 6 years abroad working in Singapore (2 yrs) and then in the United States (4 yrs). I returned to India after 9/11 and took to Technical Writing (By then no one wanted COBOL and Fortran for business and companies were already dumping their HP3000 and Dec VAX VMS systems for newer technologies). After working in a few companies I decided to go freelance which I have been doing since 2006. In 2016 I developed my Technical Writing course which I initially uploaded online but was keen more on personal training. I took a hiatus from late 2017 to 2018 when I tried to become a Montessori teacher but that didn’t turn out well and I had to get back to my Freelancing. I got a break teaching Technical Writing at St. Joseph’s College, Inrinjalakuda in early 2020. Just after the first batch (and with a promising new batch waiting in April) Covid struck and the promise of a new career literally went away. More students would join online but that was just a trickle. In 2021 I once again uploaded my course this time on Skillshare where you can also do it for free for the trial period (30 days) of Skillshare.

I don’t hide behind a 1800 number letting some customer support person answer your calls. As mentioned in the FAQ, I would prefer to be contacted via e-mail for both queries and support and I WILL reply to you.
